Here’s a fitting post; a story of ‘three developmentally arrested protagonists’ carrying the weight of their rather pitiful failures; while the book didn’t quite make the grade in terms of reviews, I like how the cover alludes to constructivism and how it references the inevitable Russian literary comparison. Sure its a little rote, but all in all not a bad take.

I laughed out loud in the store when I saw this on the shelf. Literally perfect, and vice versa.
Yeah, these guys do great work. The Book review posted their Bible Salesman cover recently and it has the same over-the-top comical effect. Really great concept.
I congratulate the designer for using a typeface that isn’t overused. This is Banque Gothic Extra Condensed a lesser-known condensed version of the ubiquitous Bank Gothic.
I bought this book because the cover looked so astoundingly brilliant. Unfortunately, the content was not so much of a discover, and I didn’t finish it.
I like it too. Has anyone else seen the edition of the Myth of Sisyphus in the UK run of Penguin’s Great Ideas series? Seems like just a coincidence of a similar good idea occurring to two different designers, but I thought it was interesting to see how they each handled the weight: funny vs. spare/fatalistic.

It’s very nice. Slightly aloof, but asthetically it’s one of the better covers Covers has seen in a loooong time.

That is pretty great.

The version here:

shows more grey “dirt”/distress than this image. I think I would like it more without, but still this is a stunning cover.
