This is so cute. Interesting book covers are usually what attracts me to a book and makes me want to read them.

brilliant. I clicked on the icon because of the how the bunny reads at a smaller size. (As simply a different kind of bunny.)
Excellent cover. Incredibly clear layout that makes good use of the lightness of the spaces created.
I love the bunny. I also like the contrast between abomination and a bunny standing on his head.

Making a perfect use of the image here. The upsidedown image of the bunny suggests that the title has been pushed down into the white area. it looks good!

‘The upsidedown image of the bunny suggests that the title has been pushed down into the white area.’
It does. And it looks good.
This is now officially one of my favourite pieces of photography.
Definitely my favorite of his, too. It absolutely pulls you in to wanting to know more about the book.
In an NPR interview, Kidd told the story of this photograph landing on his desk at just the right time (a spec submission, if I recall). For such a memorable design, I was impressed he shared due credit with the photographer (and pure luck).
The Abomination
Probably my favorite of all Chip Kidd’s covers.
