Adventure Divas

While femininity should?nt always rest in the color pink ? nor should it necessarily rest in any single image or signifier, the ruggedness of the boots and its contrast with the surroundings makes for a light-hearted and fitting conviction to the subject matter.

Honestly, I am getting sick of the stupid two-shoes covers… Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress is the only one I really like, The Time Traveller’s Wife is awfully close, and I know I’ve seen more out there. I don’t know, maybe these guys were first, but I’m sick of that shit already.

Looking at the date (I am smart) I can ascertain that they definitely weren’t first.

I’m with jdube.

That aside, this cover is fairly unimpressive when seen on screen, but in person, the pink & yellow colors are really really bright. It’s pretty cool. Definitely adds a lot.

Nice cover. The photo seems to lack some interest. But the title is handled nicely.

I think the cover photo is phenomenal. The dirty boots, the hard ground they are set against yet the softness of the pink laces. All the other colors are so earthy, yet the pink and yellow stand out. Very nice.

sorry – I agree with jdube . this cover is awful. the two shoe thing has been done over and over again…and the pink is quite garish in real life.

I have this one. The designer is Elizabeth Ackerman.
