It’s very pretty. I have no complaints besides perhaps the boarder that is carried from the front to the back. Maybe the design would fail without it, I’m not certain, but it seems rather unnecessary to me.
Otherwise I love the sparse minimalism of this one. The text treatment is great. I love tiny text on the covers of things. The back is awesome, I agree.
Great cover. Love the way the title is distributed and the colors. The color bars wrapping around to reveal a more organic form is a nice touch and hints at the flow of words into orderly, yet colorful and evocative compositions.
Love it. I like how it’s all neat in the front, messy in the back. Kind of like: this is what we show the world (front) but this is how we really are below the surface (back).
I’m not sure what creative non-fiction actually is, but my god I’m enjoying the questions this cover asks. What’s the Creative part? The neatly-ironed results at the end? What’s the Non-Fiction Part? The tangled ribbons at the beginning? Or is it the other way round? In other words: does Creativity in Non Fiction require untangling the facts? Or is it the weaving embellishment that bring the story to Life?... Or both, or… I’ve just gone cross-eyed…
At risk of sounding like a colossal wanker, I’d bet the energy of this book’s cover would be felt as you read its contents, and how wonderful that the front cover is the end of the designer’s own story…

Wikipedia gives this description of Creative Non-fiction:
Creative nonfiction (sometimes known as literary nonfiction) is a type of writing which uses literary skills in the writing of nonfiction. A work of creative nonfiction, if well-written, is factually true and artistically elegant. Creative nonfiction contrasts with other nonfiction, such as technical writing or journalism, which should also contain accurate information, but is not primarily written in service to its craft.
Sorry C Wys… Guess my displayed ignorance offended your sensibilities matey. Look, I understand the CNF label, and enjoy the writings that exemplify it, but being a simple minded chap, I’ll probably always Wrestle With What Creative Non-Fiction Actually IS. Probably a burden I should have kept to myself eh?

The color swirls remind me a bit of Corral’s cover for RANT, incidentally. Very fun.

Very good. I like the border too.

Love the front and spine, but the back is whack.

Super.
I hope you purchased the copy shown above before you murdered the front hinge.

Love it! I love how he must have had the back cover in mind the entire time. Great holistic execution and concept!

Regarding C Wys’s comment above, I would guess the border wrapping to the back is designed to help lead the reader to the back cover.

Way clever, I love Rodrigo Corral. I guess this is some sort of pun on the words “nonfiction” and “creative” being juxtaposed.

Spot on, Ian. Just what I was thinking.
Love it!
