The photo’s been flipped upside down so it looks like he’s face up on the ceiling, but he’s on the floor. I remember Pavel Kohout’s “White Book” where a man could walk upside on the ceiling; this reminds me of it. A striking cover, indeed.

The photo is almost as clever as this Shigeo Fukuda’s exhibition poster from ‘85.
