I don't know why I've been seeing Hollow Earth stuff pop up everywhere, but I'm hoping to see a legitimate resurgence in totally illegitimate and fantastical science. There's nothing more fun than ufology and cryptozoology.

The reasons I love this cover are too numerous to list. It reminds me of the classic science text books and old science film slices of my childhood; weird, synthesized music and postwar gee-whiz narration, complimented by cartoon graphics of scientific concepts... Avatabar here I come!

fantastic look. love the electric colors!
the type is perfect. the title is very high on the page, but it's balanced by the text at the bottom, esp the "Map of..." script that is so nice.

many elements are very close to the edges. i imagine that gives it a more super-fantastic feel, like the contents are so neat they are too big for the size of the cover. it would be much less fun if everything was a safer, quieter distance from the edge.

The details in the typography and texturing are really amazing on this cover. The colors are very electric and it's no doubt an interesting read.

This is really nice. The illustration is perfect--great job capturing the science-esque feel of the subject. I also love the inline treatment on the title. That's Neutraface, right?
