Another beautiful Rick Moody cover from Paul Sahre.
I have to confess that I didn’t notice the keys until my second or third time looking at this. I thought it was some sort of abstracted figure moving through a snow storm.
Is there a name for that “national bestseller… blah blah… Time blurb…. blah blah” verbiage? Cover whoring? Anyway I like the placement, I would have put it in the bottom right but this is just great.

yeah, considering where those .. coverwhorings are usually placed, this is a great solution.

At least it’s not in a big fake “gold seal” or some other such nonsense.
The cover whoring is pretty subtly done here.

I didn’t realize those were keys until you said it.
I thought it was a bison or goat’s head (the reflection of the keyring becomes the horns, do you see it?) in a storm.

It took me awhile to see this image as keys and this is why the cover works!

la ecuación perfecta entre foto y tipografía, muy limpio y gratamente frío, para influenciar a diseños posteriores
