Right out of the Russian constructivist era, (which makes sense, considering that it was emerging at about the same time as Kafka), this cover is just gorgeous.
I’ll be curious to see if Vintage tries to tie this cover in visually with Calasso’s other book “Ka”, if/when it comes out on paperback. With titles so similiar, it seems like too good of an opportunity to pass up.

I think that the first picture can habe a smooth color. The other pictures can give the feeling tha they are a shadow.
