An excellent two-piece series, of sorts. My only complaint is that there aren’t more of them, as I’d love to see how Fulbrook worked other elements into similar configurations.
Both of these covers work on a fairly superficial level, conceptually. (The Shell Collector = Shells, and the protagonist of About Grace has a thing for snowflakes) But they’re so darned attractive I really don’t care.
(The hardcover he did for About Grace is nice too, but definitely a step down from the paperback, in my opinion.)

This cover reminds me of old encyclopedias or junior-high textbooks…in a good way. It’s clean and most likely compelling on the shelf.
I’m prone to picking out books based on covers. Yes, I’ve judged, but not always prematurely. A good book will most likely have a great cover.
